Waste Transfer Records: Keep the Evidence With the Movement
A useful waste transfer record identifies the waste, transferor, transferee, carrier, sites and relevant dates, and retains the required description and declarations. Capturing that information with the job is more reliable than reconstructing it later.

Start with the actual movement
The record needs to reflect who transferred the waste, who received it, what moved, where it came from and where it went. Requirements vary with the waste and movement, particularly for hazardous waste.

Digital does not mean automatic
Records can be created and retained digitally, but the operator remains responsible for correct information, signatures or declarations where required, retention and availability for inspection.
A PDF is useful evidence only when its source data and issue history are controlled.

Can a WTN be digital?
Yes, where the required information and declarations are captured, retained and available appropriately. The operator remains responsible for meeting the applicable requirements.
Is an invoice a waste transfer note?
No. An invoice records the financial charge. A waste transfer record documents the waste movement and parties; the two may relate to the same job but serve different purposes.
Does Rubbleo guarantee compliance?
