Skip companies keep track of skips by giving each asset a unique number and recording every delivery, exchange, collection and yard movement against it. Rubbleo turns those events into a current status and movement history for the office.
Where are our skips?
The asset register shows numbered skips and their working state, including which are available or on hire. When a job moves a skip, Rubbleo retains the relevant customer site, job and event history so staff can trace how it reached its current position.

Follow the lifecycle, not a pin
A delivery assigns a skip to the site. A correctly completed exchange records the outgoing and replacement assets. A collection moves the on-hire skip through the return workflow. Those controlled events are more useful to the yard than a free-text location that nobody updates.

Asset tracking is not skip GPS
Rubbleo tracks skip identity, operational status, recorded site and movement history. It does not claim that every metal skip contains a GPS device or broadcasts a live location.
The platform separately supports authorised driver location during the driver's working workflow. That can help the office understand vehicle progress, but it must not be described as live GPS tracking of the skip itself.
Make overdue work actionable
Requested collection dates and on-hire history help the team find skips that need attention. Staff can move from the asset to the related customer or job rather than working through an unconnected list.

Does Rubbleo GPS-track every skip?
No. Rubbleo records each skip's identity, operational status, assigned customer site and movement history. It does not claim a physical GPS tracker is fitted to every skip.
Can Rubbleo track exchanges?
Yes. Exchange workflows distinguish the collected skip from the replacement and require the necessary asset confirmation before completion.
Can staff see earlier movements?
Yes. The inventory area provides recent movement history with pagination for earlier events.
